ABOUT YOUR OSTEOPATH

Dr. Anthony Dileo (Osteopath)
M.H.Sci (Osteo), B.Sc. (Clin.Sci.), MAOA
DIRECTOR THE KALLISTA OSTEOPATHY
Anthony Dileo (Osteopath) is a registered practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Anthony commenced his studies in 2004, completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science before transferring into a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and going on to complete a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University.
Born and living in the Dandenong Ranges, Anthony brings decades of clinical experience to his practice. He combines modern evidence-based medicine with traditional osteopathic philosophy, delivered through a hands-on and patient-centred approach.
Anthony has extensive experience managing a wide range of conditions across all age groups — including headaches, TMJ dysfunction, back pain, sports injuries, and complex pain presentations such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, fibromyalgia, nerve-related pain and chronic arthritic conditions. He also works with pregnancy-related pain and the co-management of infants and paediatric patients with feeding and musculoskeletal concerns.
His approach focuses on providing clarity and confidence in your care — helping you understand what is happening (diagnosis), why it is happening (education), how long it may take to improve (prognosis), and what can be done to support recovery and prevent recurrence.
Anthony has undertaken postgraduate education in:
-
Neck pain, headaches and TMJ dysfunction
-
Sports Injury Rehabilitation (Shoulders, Ankles, Knees, Elbows and Wrists)
-
Complex and chronic pain conditions (including Fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
-
Acute and chronic low back pain, disc injury and rehabilitation
-
Pregnancy and post-natal care
-
Paediatric and infant musculoskeletal care (co-managed with GPs and specialists)
He has also completed further training in a range of hands-on osteopathic techniques including cranial osteopathy, biodynamics, gut/gastrointestinal visceral approaches, and biomechanical rehabilitation, as well as sports and pre-post-surgical rehabilitation.
Anthony is registered with TAC and WorkSafe.
Treatment is always tailored to the individual and guided by patient comfort. Techniques may include:
-
Soft tissue therapy
-
Joint articulation and mobilisation
-
Muscle energy techniques
-
Cranial osteopathy and biodynamics
-
HVLA manipulation (where appropriate and with consent)
Outside of practice, Anthony enjoys time with his young family and exploring the Dandenong Ranges and regional Victoria. He has a long-standing interest in travel and music, and is always open to recommendations for hidden gems.
